Honeysuckle Half Days

The Neighborhood School has an early dismissal on Fridays at 11:45am approximately six times per school year.

On those days, The Honeysuckle Society offers field trips around New York City.

Recent trips have included: The Natural History Museum, 6BC Community Garden, The Brooklyn Botanical Garden and The Central Park Zoo.

These Half Day excursions are available to families not currently enrolled in The Honeysuckle Society as well as current members!

Routine:

We meet in the lobby, use the restroom and then head outside for a snack.

Once we have eaten we either walk or take the subway to our destination.

We explore and typically leave around 4pm to head back to the garden.

Time: 

11:45am-5pm. Pickup no later than 5:15pm.

*PreK students pickup is no later than 4:30pm.

Weather:

We go on field trips rain or shine and expect families to provide appropriate clothing and gear for the weather.

Snacks:
Families provide their own snacks.

Costs: 

For families already enrolled on Fridays, the cost is $95/Half Day.

For families not enrolled on Fridays, the cost is $145
